The Nebraska Limited (Special) Power of Attorney structures an adaptive legal form permitting an outside party with dedicated rights to act on behalf of a principal individual. The declarant can utilize the document to issue agency for specific tasks that will expire upon completion. The arrangement can prove useful when a principal wishes to delegate one or more responsibilities to another to sign documents or perform duties in their place.

Statute – Nebraska Revised Statutes – Uniform Power of Attorney Act (§ 30-4041 – 30-4045)

Definitions – “Power of attorney” means a writing or other record that grants authority to an agent to act in the place of the principal, whether or not the term power of attorney is used (§ 30.4002(8)).

Signing Requirements – Notarization is mandatory to successfully legalize the commitment (§ 30.4005).
