The Michigan Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney (Form TR-128) makes it possible for individuals to appoint a representative to handle certain matters attached to an automobile. Basically, this will allow the agent to sign documents for the grantor that are related to the purchasing, selling, or titling of a motor vehicle. In order to take advantage of this instrument, the principal must fill in each field with the corresponding information and sign at the bottom of the form. Once completed, the executor should provide the agent with the document along with a photocopy of their driver’s license (or state ID) so that they may present it when carrying out a transaction.
