The Idaho Limited (Special) Power of Attorney documents a person’s conveyance of personal powers to another party. What separates this instrument from other types of POAs is its ability to convey a more defined authority as opposed to wide-ranging powers. To successfully implement this document, the executor will have to register the name of their attorney-in-fact, provide a description of the powers that are to be issued, and endorse the form in accordance with Idaho law.

Definition – “Power of attorney” means a writing or other record which grants authority to an agent to act in the place of the principal, whether or not the term power of attorney is used (§ 15-12-102(7)).
