The Wisconsin General (Financial) Power of Attorney delivers a written commitment authorizing another person to take over managing another individual’s financial affairs temporarily. The granted controls cover a broad scope that can be adjusted as needed to meet an issuing principal’s needs. The form allows the declarant to select the allotted powers to the designated agent. Contained in the document is the option to bestow control over the following tasks:
- Buy/Sell Personal or Real Property
- Lease Personal or Real Property
- Collect/Make Payments
- Make Health Care Decisions
- Execute Contracts
Additional powers can be extended specifically to designated elements of the principal’s interests, such as taxes, vehicles, and banking transactions.
