The New Hampshire Minor Child Power of Attorney administers the statutory allocation of chosen parental controls concerning an indicated minor to a secondary adult. Typically, this type of POA can be helpful when a parent is absent for a length of time and chooses to nominate another person to care for the child. The solution created by the agreement is a practical option when a parent (or parents) is temporarily unavailable and requires the appointment of an agent to manage the needs of the minor. In situations that may require a more permanent resolution, a petition for guardianship of a minor may be sought after by contacting the applicable county Probate Division Court office.
