The Montana Limited (Special) Power of Attorney dispenses a legal written transcript to distribute defined provisional permissions to act in place of another individual. This particular agreement provides space for the principal to develop their own distinct language to deliver precise allocation of privileges to an elected agent. The declarant can dispense the granted controls with the choice of either an expiration upon completion of the designated act(s) or at a specific termination date as detailed in the contract.

Statute – Title 72, Chapter 31, Part 3: Montana Uniform Power of Attorney Act

Definition – “Power of attorney” means a writing or other record that grants authority to an agent to act in the place of the principal, whether or not the term power of attorney is used (§ 72-31-302(7)).

Signing Requirements – For legal purposes, it is necessary that all those endorsing the document do so before a licensed notary (§ 72-31-305).
