The Kansas Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney (Form TR-41) was created by the KDOR’s Division of Vehicles and allows a car or truck owner to appoint a representative for transactions involving their automobile. The authority granted in this document specifically pertains to applying for a certificate of title, registering a vehicle, and transferring ownership. In order to appropriately activate said document, the principal/owner must deliver the form with the requisite information and sign it for substantiation purposes.

Definition – “Power of attorney” means a written power of attorney, either durable or nondurable (§ 58-651(i)).
Signing Requirements – Must be signed by the principal/vehicle owner.
