The Indiana Minor Child Power of Attorney is a convenient tool for parents/guardians that need a third (3rd) party to manage certain aspects of their child’s life on their behalf. When a mother or father temporarily leaves their child in the care of another, problems can arise if the minor requires parental authorization for schooling or medical treatment. With the implementation of this legal document, individuals can provide an agent with the authority to carry out these actions to improve the overall welfare of their child. This can be achieved by entering the details of the individuals involved (parent/guardian, attorney-in-fact, & child), providing a termination date (no more than 365 days from execution), and endorsing the form and having it validated by a notary public.
