The Hawaii Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney grants an “attorney-in-fact” (agent) the ability to act as the owner (principal) of an automobile for various types of vehicle transactions. When an individual needs an action carried out for their car or truck, whether it needs to be sold, purchased, titled, or registered, they can use this form to authorize a third (3rd) party to do so on their behalf if they are not available to do it themselves. The document merely requires the assignor to provide their:
- Name & Address
- Vehicle’s Description
- Agent’s Identity
- Date of Signing
- Signature (to be performed under the review of a notary public)
