Connecticut Minor Child Power of Attorney Form

The Connecticut Minor Child Power of Attorney, formally known as the “Designation of a Standby Guardian of a Minor”, makes it possible for a mother and/or father to delegate certain parental authorities to another person. The authority granted to the third (3rd) party will only be accessible if one of the contingencies listed within the document occurs. The legal arrangement allows the temporary measure to be put in place with a maximum amount of time of one (1) year before automatically expiring. Of course, to instate the arrangement, the parents/guardians of the minor will have to supply the form with any needed details and then sign it in front of two (2) witnessing parties. (Note: It is recommended that the instrument be notarized to confirm its authenticity further.)
