The Texas sublease agreement is a useful rental form that can be implemented when the tenant of a certain property wishes to convey occupancy to a new tenant. A reason one may do this is if they need to relocate but do not want to break the original lease and face penalty. Before carrying out this act, it is vital that the landlord provides written consent to sublet the property (in accordance with § 91.005). The form requires that the parties stipulate when the tenancy will begin & end, what the monthly payments will be, and how the overall residency will transpire. Following the signing of the document, the sublessor will act as the landlord to the sublessee but is still held accountable to hold up the terms & conditions of the original lease agreement.
