The Ohio rental application is a preliminary measure taken by those seeking to rent out a property to a second party. Assuming that the rental unit is desirable, the landlord/management company will typically be approached by interested parties looking to lease the premises. But, the owner should not just enter into a lease agreement with the first person to put forth a request for tenancy. They should instead provide this document to all prospective tenants in order to gain data that can help assess whether or not the individual is dependable.

Elements of the applicant’s life that can paint a better picture as to how the occupancy will unfold include their previous housing record, current income stream, overall credit history, etc. This information is then analyzed for verification (usually by a third-party processing company) and the property holder will then notify the applicant of their acceptance or rejection.

Application Fee – A fee is traditionally charged to those who submit an app for the cost of processing the document. This price can vary from rental to rental, as the state of Ohio does not enact a set amount.
