- Completed Watercraft Application
- Original Illinois watercraft title, or Power of Attorney and lien release, if applicable.
- Original Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin, if the boat is new.
- Payment for IDNR registration/title fees.
- Tax form/payment, such as ST-556, RUT-25, or RUT-75, if applicable.
Out-of-State Purchase
- Original out-of-state title, if the boat came from a title state.
- Out-of-state registration card, if the boat came from a non-title state.
The purchaser must submit the watercraft registration/title application within 15 days after purchase.
