The Indiana Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney grants appointed parties access to certain rights regarding the principal’s automobile (or boat/vessel if desired). These rights specifically pertain to the agent being able to execute transactions for the vehicle, allowing them to sign any necessary paperwork in order to obtain or transfer the certificate of title, or to register the automobile. All the form demands is the information regarding the parties, the vehicle’s description, and the signature of the individual conveying the authority (Indiana requires this to be verified by a notary public).
