The Washington Minor Child Power of Attorney provides a written account to support the legal distribution of rights associated with parentage to another person. Circumstances that require an alternative individual to make decisions for a child when a parent cannot may call for a temporary transfer of permissions to an attorney-in-fact. The downloadable document can be applied to the situation to effectively establish issued controls should the parent be unavailable due to possible incapacitation, imprisonment, or other supposed absences. The contractual obligation allows for the parent to make various selections designating the limitations of the arrangement. Adjustments can be made to issue powers as needed to allow for the agent to make decisions regarding the child/children’s:
- Residence
- Heath Care
- Travel
- Education
- Extra-Curricular Activities
- Property
Execution of the agreement demands that the finalization be received and confirmed by two (2) acceptable witnesses as indicated by the Revised Code of Washington § 70-122-030 or an actively licensed notary public.
