The Nebraska General (Financial) Power of Attorney composes an expressed understanding to permit a secondary individual with granted rights to perform tasks for another in a legal capacity. This particular form provides designated powers in regard to a principal party’s financial holdings. The document can also be adjusted as desired to issue privileges allowing an attorney-in-fact to make legal, tax, insurance, and government benefit matters.

Statute – Nebraska Revised Statutes – Uniform Power of Attorney Act (§ 30-4041 – 30-4045)
Definitions – “Power of attorney” means a writing or other record that grants authority to an agent to act in the place of the principal, whether or not the term power of attorney is used (§ 30.4002(8)).
Signing Requirements – Notarization is mandatory to successfully legalize the commitment (§ 30.4005).
