The Montana General (Financial) Power of Attorney iterates a corroborating arrangement to instigate the passage of rights concerning designated financial areas from one person to another. The provided form allows the principal to assign selected retained powers to an attorney-in-fact on a short-term basis. Once in place, the extended permissions will authorize the agent to conduct business on behalf of the declarant within the chosen categories defined in the contract upon endorsement. Termination of the assignment will take place either on the confirmed expiration date outlined in the terms and conditions or upon legal revocation.

Definition – “Power of attorney” means a writing or other record that grants authority to an agent to act in the place of the principal, whether or not the term power of attorney is used (§ 72-31-302(7).
