The Mississippi Limited (Special) Power of Attorney can be adapted to the needs of the individual granting the authority to a third (3rd) party. This document contrasts with other POAs because it allows users to transcribe their own summary of the powers that they want to be appointed, instead of choosing from a list of generic authorities that may be too broad for what the principal is trying to accomplish. Grantors who wish to utilize this instrument can achieve so by inserting the names of everyone involved, describing the powers that are to be delegated, and choosing a term for the relationship (durable, non-durable, expiration date). Once the form contains all the required data, the executor must then provide their endorsement to finalize the conditions made within.
Laws
