The Missouri Real Estate Power of Attorney details an arrangement made between two (2) parties where one reserves the right to act on the other’s behalf in regard to real property dealings. Other POA forms may offer real estate powers, but they are usually broad and sweeping with few restrictions. This particular document allows the principal to select independent actions for individuals who prefer to limit the access granted, which could include property management, financing, buying, or selling. Delegating parties may implement this by filling out the form appropriately and signing it in accordance with local laws. (If you intend to give your agent the ability to transfer ownership of the property, you will need to have the document acknowledged and recorded as required by law.)
