The Michigan General (Financial) Power of Attorney is your standard POA document that allows users to choose from an array of financial powers to convey to a third-party individual. The authority can pertain to the principal’s money, property, taxes, insurance, benefits, investments, etc. Once accomplished, the appointed individual, known as the “agent” or “attorney-in-fact”, will have the ability to operate as the grantor, giving them the ability to receive and sign any documentation needed to execute the assigned tasks. It should be noted that this particular form is designed to expire if the principal should ever become disabled and lose the capacity to function independently.
