The Massachusetts General (Financial) Power of Attorney is a wide-ranging instrument that grants an attorney-in-fact personal powers from the document’s executor and covers an array of financial authorities. It should be emphasized that this particular form does not contain any durability, meaning that it will expire if the principal ever becomes incapacitated (alive but unable to function). Administering parties can initiate the process of granting such powers by filling out the form with any requested information, making a selection of the authorities that are to be bestowed, and signing along with witnesses and/or notary public to verify the authorization.
