The Idaho Durable (Financial) Power of Attorney offers a transfer of personal authority from one party to another so that the individual receiving the powers can act in the grantor’s name. This specific type of POA is fully dedicated to the conveyance of financial powers and remains effective even if the main party becomes disabled/incapacitated (unable to function on their own). The form provides a list of general powers that the principal can pick & choose from to be delivered to the attorney-in-fact. After supplying the needed information, selecting the powers, and stipulating any limitations on the authority, the principal should then sign the document while being viewed by a notary public.
