The California Revocation of Power of Attorney is inserted into a situation where the issuing party of a former POA would like to cease the validity of the document. This is commonly executed when the agent (otherwise known as the “attorney-in-fact”) has fulfilled their duty and the principal no longer needs them to have access to the assigned powers. To follow through with the nullification, the principal must simply provide the effective date of the original instrument, the name of the appointed party, and their signature as mandated.
