The Arkansas Minor (Child) Power of Attorney expresses a parent’s or guardian’s wishes to grant another individual the right to act on their behalf concerning the care of the principal party’s child. This is generally used for those who will be temporarily leaving their child with a relative, nanny, or close friend so that they can perform certain actions if necessary. The central powers that the individual will have access to would be the right to manage the minor’s schooling and health care. The parent assigning the powers within this document may select a date on which the agreement expires. If there is no date issued, the contract may still be revoked at any time using the Revocation of Power of Attorney.
