The Alabama Power of Attorney for Minors is designed for use by those seeking to delegate their parental powers to a second (2nd) party so that they can carry out certain functions for the child. The commitment allows for a task or tasks that typically require the mother or father’s authorization to be approved for an individual to execute it on their behalf. Of course, it is instrumental that this is only provided to a person that the parents fully trust, such as a grandparent or another close relative. Keep in mind, the maximum period that this document can last is one (1) year. Afterwhich, the parties will have to renew the terms if they wish to continue with the arrangement.
