Firearm Registration Forms
Most counties in New York State require procedural processes to procure a firearm. To acquire any type of gun will necessitate obtaining a permit to purchase before even considering to enter a store to buy. Although there is no stated need to register a purchased firearm in all counties or municipalities, you will need to either register or apply for a permit to buy or own, which, essentially, registers it with the governing authorities. To carry a weapon openly or concealed will obligate an individual to further apply for gain access to a New York Pistol License to do so legally. These licenses are not easily obtainable, and within the limits of New York City, the Pistol License does not allow for lawful carry unless you are law enforcement or an armored car guard.
