Register a Boat
Arizona requires motorized watercraft operating on Arizona waters to be registered through the Arizona Game and Fish Department with the following documents;
- Arizona Application for Watercraft Certificate of Number (form 1532)
- Endorsed Bill of Sale
- Form of Payment, for the fees and taxes.
- Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin, if the boat is new.
- Original Title/Registration, for used boats previously registered or titled in another state.
Out-of-State Purchase
- Original out-of-state title or registration
After a watercraft is sold or transferred, the buyer must apply to have the motorized watercraft registered in their name within 15 days. Nonresidents may temporarily operate a properly registered out-of-state watercraft on Arizona waters for up to 90 days.
