The Kentucky Durable (Financial) Power of Attorney is the standard POA carried out when someone wishes to delegate powers relative to their property and finances. The reason this specific version is so popular is the fact that it stays in effect beyond the point of its executor’s mental debilitation. This is particularly advantageous to someone who would like to plan ahead and ensure that their assets are handled appropriately if something unfortunate is to occur. To obtain the benefits of this document, the principal will be required to designate their agent, indicate which powers will be delegated, and furnish their endorsement accordingly (to be observed by a notarial officer in order to receive their acknowledgment).
