The Kansas General (Financial) Power of Attorney is applied when somebody wishes to grant another individual the authority to act as their representation regarding certain fiscal matters. This can be extremely helpful for those who are not available to handle these affairs themselves and need the assistance of another to carry out personal transactions on their behalf. Unlike the durable POA, the general version will not maintain its validity if the principal ever loses their mental faculties (becomes incapacitated). Individuals who seek to establish a principal-agent relationship using this form should be prepared to insert the info of both parties, initial each desired authority that they wish to bestow, and supply their signature as requested by law (with the acknowledgment of a notarial agent).
