The Alabama Limited Power of Attorney is less intricate than your average durable POA and permits users to write their own conveyance of powers. This is perfect for those who only need their agent to perform a specific assignment as opposed to having control over a major aspect of the principal’s life. To secure a legal contract, the transferring party should describe who is involved in the exchange, what powers will be delivered, and whether or not there will be an expiration date. Once filled, the principal’s signature can be recorded, which should be accomplished before a notary public.
