The North Dakota roommate agreement holds residents of a shared household accountable for their actions concerning a mutual tenancy. In order to cut the cost of living, many individuals today will opt to split a rental unit amongst others. But, it is important for these individuals to establish some fundamental standards when forming the relationship.

This document enables the occupants to decree how the home’s expenses will be divided (rent, security deposit, utilities, etc.), the start & end date of the tenancies, and a list of the general rules and code of conduct each housemate must adhere to. A form should be completed for each individual and endorsed by all parties to be put into effect.

(Two copies of each form should be made, one for the tenant and one for the property’s file.)
