- Title Application and VIN Inspection Form
- Vehicle Title: Title and lien work is handled through the local county clerk’s office in the county seat of your county of residence.
Out-of-State Purchase
- Vehicle Title: Required for titling through the county clerk’s office
Notes
- Wyoming may brand a vehicle based on information found in NMVTIS, even if the current title appears to have no brands.

How to Register a Boat
Wyoming requires motorized watercraft operated on Wyoming waters to be registered with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Watercraft may be registered online through the Wyoming Game and Fish watercraft registration system. A Wyoming certificate of title in the applicant’s name is generally required before registration.
- Bill of Sale
- Copy of proof that sales or use tax has been paid.
- Copy of Wyoming Certificate of Title, with a valid Hull Identification Number in the applicant’s name.
- Picture of the physical Hull Identification Number, stamped on the watercraft.
- Watercraft registration application/payment, submitted online or through Wyoming Game and Fish.
Out-of-State Purchase
- Current out-of-state registration or renewal notice, if the watercraft came from a registration state.
- Out-of-state certificate of title, if the watercraft came from a title state.
- Picture of the physical Hull Identification Number, stamped on the watercraft.
The out-of-state title, registration, or renewal notice must appear in the current applicant’s name before Wyoming registration can be issued. Owners may operate a newly purchased motorized watercraft for up to 30 days after purchase with a notarized bill of sale or properly transferred title. Wyoming also requires watercraft to display an Aquatic Invasive Species decal while on Wyoming waters.
