The Alabama DMV bill of sale form allows an individual to purchase an automobile, motorcycle, or any other type of vehicle. The form must have the vehicle details, purchase price, and the signature of the seller. The seller will be required to authorize the form in front of a notary public. Afterward, the form may be given to the buyer and the transaction is complete. The buyer will need the bill of sale form in order to register the vehicle with a Drivers License Office.

How to Register a Vehicle

The buyer will be required to bring the following documents to a Drivers License Office Location:

• Bill of Sale
• Buyer’s photo identification.
• Odometer Disclosure Statement – In accordance with § 810-5-76-.01
• Proof of current or valid insurance.
• Title – If the buyer does not have the title they will need the Title Application.
• VIN Inspection Documentation (in accordance with § 810-5-1-.247).
