State Laws

Minimum Termination: Wyoming state law does not specify a notice period for landlords or tenants to terminate a month-to-month lease. Instead, this timeframe is governed by the explicit terms written into the lease (typically 30 days’ written notice).

Increasing Rent: Wyoming state law does not limit how much or how often landlords may increase rent, and there is no statutory notice period required for rent increases. To raise the rent, landlords must follow whatever notice timeline is outlined in the lease agreement. Providing 30 days’ notice for rent increases is the widely recommended industry standard.
