The New Mexico rental application is used when a property holder (landlord or manager) would like to vet customers seeking to lease a rental unit. Contained within the form is a series of inquiries that the applicant must provide accurate answers to regarding their previous occupancies, credit standing, and any past criminal activity. All this information is then delivered back to the individual in charge of managing the rental and reviewed for acceptance (most times, this will be contracted out to a business that specializes in screening).

Application Fee – There is generally a cost associated with applying to lease a rental unit. At this time, the state of New Mexico does not stipulate a limit. Costs normally range from $30-$50 per tenant.
