State Laws

Minimum Termination: The landlord or tenant must provide at least 30 days’ notice to terminate (§ 35-9A-441(b)).

Increasing Rent: There is no State cap on how much the landlord can increase the rent. Since increasing the rent will terminate the current lease, 30 days’ notice is required.
