The Alabama advance directive is a document that combines a medical power of attorney and living will. This allows the principal to elect someone else to be their health care representative and to select end-of-life treatment options. The principal can also request their representative to make the decision in such a circumstance. Once the form has been completed and authorized it must be presented every time it’s used.
